GovCIO is seeking a Database Developer to join our cross-functional team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). This full-time, fully remote position is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining database management systems that enhance the operational efficiency of government IT services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including database modeling and design, relational database architecture, and the implementation of comprehensive backup and replication solutions. In this role, you will utilize data mapping, data mining, and transformational analysis tools to create and configure databases that meet the specific needs of our projects. You will also evaluate and select technology components, such as software and hardware, to ensure optimal performance of database management systems. Your expertise in writing and tuning SQL queries will be essential for maintaining performance and scalability across our applications. As a Database Developer, you will document and maintain administration strategies for database tools, ensuring that all processes are well-defined and efficient. You will work closely with other team members in an Agile environment, contributing to the overall success of our projects by providing insights and solutions to complex technical issues.
