As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for utilizing your extensive experience in software engineering to develop and maintain database systems that support critical operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the database solutions meet the needs of the organization and comply with security standards, particularly given the sensitive nature of the data involved. Your role will involve not only technical development but also collaboration with IT customers and other technical and non-technical staff to ensure successful project delivery. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, as well as your experience with reporting tools like Tableau and COGNOS. You will be tasked with developing and interfacing with Application Program Interfaces (APIs), performing testing and quality assurance of developed solutions, and creating data structures and load routines for analytic use cases. Your ability to work with relational data tiers, including cleansing and transforming structured data, will be crucial. Additionally, you will be expected to support applications developed in Java, JavaScript, and Python, and to have a solid understanding of Amazon Web Services environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile project management and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and to contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in. This position is located on-site in Chantilly, VA, and requires a Top Secret SCI clearance with a polygraph.
