About the position

The Database Developer position is a remote role focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. The successful candidate will conduct risk management analysis and create business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery plans. This includes developing and executing testing processes to validate these plans and identify weaknesses and failure points. The role also involves creating the organization's resumption plan, which includes identifying and securing necessary off-site resources and ensuring that action plans are communicated to IT and operations teams. The Database Developer will be responsible for supporting Finance & Payment Technology Services for application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support as required by the US Government Client. This includes enhancing and supporting production applications and creating new applications as needed. The position requires flexibility in working hours, as performance hours are based on the needs of the US Government Client management, which may include working nights, weekends, or holidays as necessary. All work must adhere to US Government Client policies based on the Software Delivery Framework and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for data security and integrity.
  • Conduct risk management analysis and create business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Develop and execute testing processes for disaster recovery plans.
  • Create and communicate the organization's resumption plan to IT and operations teams.
  • Support Finance & Payment Technology Services for application and system development.
  • Enhance and support production applications and create new applications as needed.
  • Work flexible hours based on the needs of the US Government Client management.

Requirements

  • Oracle eBS Financials knowledge centering around accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, iSupplier, Oracle Projects, and Fixed Assets.
  • Experience in RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions) for Data Migration and Data Conversions.
  • Extensive experience using SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Developer Suite (Forms, Reports, JDeveloper, OAF), Workflow builder, XML Publisher, RICE Components.
  • Design and develop interfaces using Oracle Open Interfaces and Oracle Public APIs.
  • Extensive experience in programming with Oracle Tools such as XML Publisher and SQL*Loader.
  • Experience developing using WebADI.
  • Experience in Unix Shell Scripting.
  • Experience in advanced Oracle SQL querying and performance tuning.
  • Expertise in creating Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, views, and Materialized Views.
  • Expertise in customizing reports using XML Publisher.
  • Worked registering PL/SQL Packages as Concurrent Programs, Request Sets.
  • Worked on interfaces using Oracle SOA gateway.
  • Experience in working with Oracle Support for ticket resolution.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to upper management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred knowledge of iProcurement, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Sub-Ledger Accounting, General Ledger, Foreign Post Settlement, Treasury Offset Program, iSupplier, Finance Number Control Master, Journal Entry Voucher.
