CGI Federal is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our US Courts client. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing database solutions to ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance. The position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. In this role, you will be responsible for database design and development, which includes designing and implementing database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects. You will develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Additionally, you will create and maintain documentation of database structures and processes. Data management and integration are also key components of this position. You will ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all database systems, integrate data from various sources, including external databases and APIs, and implement data migration and data warehousing solutions as needed. Performance tuning and optimization will be part of your responsibilities, where you will monitor and optimize database performance, including query performance tuning and index optimization. You will troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and provide recommendations for improvements. Collaboration and support are essential, as you will work closely with data analysts, IT staff, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide database solutions. You will also provide technical support for database-related issues and assist with user training on database functionalities.
