The Database Developer will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. This role involves collaborating with other developers to optimize in-application SQL statements and establish best practices. The successful candidate will develop MS-SQL queries, procedures, and reports while working closely with SQL Administrators. The Database Developer will also address database usage issues and provide innovative solutions to prevent future problems. In this position, the candidate will develop high-quality database solutions, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using TransAct SQL, and review ongoing business report requirements. They will research required data and build useful reporting deliverables in MS Excel. Additionally, the role includes analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements, developing procedures and scripts for data migration, and applying data modeling techniques to ensure that development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. The Database Developer will independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution. They will refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. The candidate will assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement, prepare technical documentation, provide work package estimates, and manage delivery expectations. There may also be opportunities to interface directly with clients to clarify requirements or discuss alternative solutions, as well as design and develop automated processes, workflows, and schedules.
