About the position

The Database Developer/IT Analyst II position is focused on providing technical support and development for the IT Commercial Gas Systems Team, specifically for Natural Gas Accounting users. The role involves customer service, system analysis, and participation in SOX change management activities, ensuring high service delivery and customer satisfaction. The candidate will work collaboratively within a team, taking ownership of specific system functions and business user interactions, while also handling routine administrative tasks and making independent decisions as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class customer service and technical support to Natural Gas Accounting users.
• Participate in SOX change management activities and ensure overall service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Design, develop, enhance, and support Gas System Application modules such as TIPS Accounting and BOBJ reporting.
• Develop and support PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Indexes.
• Participate in project design, development, testing, and implementation activities with IT and Business users.
• Support IT and User testing and deployment of Vendor Builds and Patches.
• Work directly with end users and business analysts to understand new/changing business requirements and functional enhancements.

Requirements

• Education from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or CIS/MIS.
• 5+ years of experience in database development and analysis (SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated team player with a commitment to quality and customer service.
