About the position
The Database Developer position at Robert Half involves designing, building, and developing a new SQL server with a focus on creating the right database architecture. The role requires a strong SQL Server background and expertise in writing SQL code, aimed at developing new systems and ensuring data integrity and security.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and implement a SQL server for database management
- Generate a database schema based on application-related functions and data types
- Import existing data into the database
- Build a method for storing future database data
- Ensure internal quality control of imported data and ongoing analysis of data integrity
- Ensure security and integrity of the database, including scheduled backups
- Provide documentation and training to the database administrator
- Provide training to other users as necessary
Requirements
- B.S. degree or above in computer science or engineering
- 2+ years working as a database developer or in a related role
- Strong SQL expertise with the ability to write complex queries
- Knowledge and experience in fixing potential database issues
- Familiarity with industry standards for database operations
