About the position

The Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer at JRI America, Inc. is responsible for supporting business applications using Oracle databases across North America and EMEA. This role involves designing and developing solutions to meet complex business requirements, managing PL/SQL database objects, and ensuring compliance with the company's technology direction and security policies. The developer will work closely with various stakeholders to provide technical support and expertise, while also being involved in production support and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Support reporting of business applications using Oracle databases for North America and EMEA.
• Design and develop solutions to meet complex business requirements.
• Develop and manage PL/SQL database objects, SQL scripts, and interfaces using data management toolsets (TOAD).
• Develop, implement, and support Business Event and Workflow processes.
• Design, develop, and implement new and enhanced interfaces with other internal and external systems.
• Produce detailed system requirements specifications, complex data flow diagrams, test plans, and process diagrams using standardized documentation methods.
• Ensure that proposed solutions comply with the company's technology direction and security policies.
• Interface with Developers, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to understand and propose technology solutions.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities/constraints of existing systems and proposed solutions.
• Provide technical support for managed reporting application systems.
• Participate in late night production support and weekend implementation work.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Technical Developer.
• Strong PL/SQL programming skills and excellent SQL tuning experience.
• Experience in creating complex Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, Materialized Query tables, and Indexes.
• TOAD experience is a must.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to understand Lending, Trade finance, Deposits, Treasury, Money Transfer, and payment applications.
• University Degree in a field related to computer science or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Loan IQ and familiarity with LOAN IQ data model.
• Experience and knowledge of Oracle Finance EBS (GL, AP) and reconciliation with external source applications.
• Some knowledge of Accounting Principles.
• Preferred experience working on complex system integration projects within a heavy technical environment.
• Oracle certification is a plus.
