About the position

As a Database Developer at ACI, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of various ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data quality processes. This position requires you to take ownership of multiple staging and transfer databases within the data flow path, ensuring that data is accurately processed and transferred. You will be responsible for building database programming and stored procedures code, as well as validating the code written by other developers to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. In addition to coding, you will define and manage the data structure and security protocols to protect sensitive information. Monitoring for outages or system issues will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will managing and monitoring ETL jobs. You will work closely with support teams to resolve any job failures and collaborate with operational teams to address any data quality discrepancies that may arise. This role requires a proactive approach, as you will need to work autonomously while taking full ownership of your assigned responsibilities. You will be expected to deliver quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence. Your ability to understand and create technical documentation will also be essential in this position, as you will need to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain various ETL and data quality processes.
• Own the multiple staging and transfer databases in the Data flow path.
• Build Database programming and stored procedures code and validate the code written by developers.
• Define/manage the data structure and security.
• Monitor for outages or system issues.
• Manage and monitor ETL Jobs and work closely with the support teams in resolving any Job failures.
• Work closely with the operational teams in resolving any data quality discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT.
• 5-7 years hands-on experience with MS SQL Server (2012 and above) relational database development.
• Must be fluent with manipulation of data, ETL concepts and query optimization.
• 5+ years' hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS ETL tool (2012 and above) with clear understanding on newer methods of deployments.
• Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF) and relevant cloud experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of other PERE administration platform/accounting software/BI is an asset.
• Highly skilled on data extraction, manipulation, and report formatting (ETL).
• Knowledge of Qlik and Snowflake an advantage.
• FinTech experience a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including contributing to and being part of a strong team spirit.
• Ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities with a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Excellent organizational skills complemented by a 'can do' attitude.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work under pressure in a new and fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to understand and create technical documentation.
