About the position

The Database Developer position at ToolCASE LLC involves working with Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL to design and develop data architectures for AI-focused applications. The role requires a strong understanding of data structures and programming efficiency, as well as the ability to analyze and integrate customer data into internal schemas. This is a full-time, in-office role in a rapidly growing IT company specializing in analytics and AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Data architecture and design for AI-focused applications.
• Programming in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL (PLPGSQL).
• Writing and tuning queries for optimal performance.
• Analyzing customer data schemas and integrating them into internal schemas.
• Creating and updating PL/SQL and PLPGSQL code.
• Testing and maintaining existing code.
• Participating in Agile code reviews and deployment support.
• Migrating Oracle data structures and code to PostgreSQL.
• Debugging and solving customer-reported issues as part of occasional DevOps duties.

Requirements

• Excellent development skills in Oracle PL/SQL and/or PostgreSQL PLPGSQL.
• Thorough understanding of query and programming efficiency.
• Ability to analyze customer data and integrate it into internal schemas.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX as a user.
• Familiarity with Git or similar source management tools.
• Ability to work well in a team setting and independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Mac/OSX user skills.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX scripting.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
