About the position

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Developer with expertise in AWS, Postgres, and serverless-managed instances. The role involves designing and developing applications, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage cloud services to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable applications with a focus on database performance and data integrity.
• Leverage AWS cloud services, focusing on serverless managed instances to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance.
• Experience working with CREW or similar platforms to integrate and manage workflows.
• Create, manage, and optimize Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements for efficient database schema and data management.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and performance tuning of databases to ensure optimal query performance, reduce response times, and improve resource utilization.
• Provide technical expertise in database architecture, design, and development, ensuring best practices for database optimization and data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in database development with a focus on Postgres and AWS.
• Strong understanding of Serverless architectures and cloud-native database management.
• Proven experience in designing and developing applications, managing schemas, DDLs, DMLs, and performance optimization.
• Experience in CREW or related platforms for workflow integration is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python for scripting and automation related to database management and development.
• Familiarity with Liquibase for database version control, schema management, and migration processes.
