About the position

As a Database Developer at Consumer Cellular, you will play a crucial role in supporting application and business teams by contributing to the development of stable, scalable, and high-quality database features. You will work within a cross-functional development team, assisting in the build-out of effective database technologies and providing mentorship on best practices. Your responsibilities will include performance tuning, data analysis, and ensuring adherence to data management standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist development teams in building stable and reliable database technologies.
  • Develop, support, and implement standards for data-driven applications.
  • Review performance metrics and implement query optimization solutions.
  • Accurately estimate data tasks and manage timelines and budgets.
  • Mentor software developers on database patterns and practices.
  • Provide guidance on best technologies and methods for data access.
  • Promote database code quality standards through code reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in database development with strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Services.
  • 3+ years of experience in BI and data warehouse methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data management standards and practices.
  • Experience in performance tuning and resolving performance issues.
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge.
  • Proficient in database design fundamentals related to Commerce, CRM, and Inventory Systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based (Azure) data lakes.
  • Exposure to non-relational and non-Microsoft database systems.
  • Knowledge of C# and .Net web technologies.
