The Database Developer will be responsible for designing and developing optimal database solutions that cater to a variety of application and business requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of T-SQL and experience in optimizing large-scale databases. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Azure Cloud Environment and will be expected to maintain several databases in this environment. In this position, you will be tasked with setting up and maintaining database deployment pipelines, designing and documenting logical and physical database models, and ensuring the performance, security, and availability of databases. You will also automate maintenance and monitoring tasks through various technologies and use query plans to analyze queries and improve performance. Collaboration with application developers to design, develop, and debug queries and stored procedures is essential. The role requires critical thinking to design solutions that accommodate current business needs while ensuring extensibility and scalability for future requirements. The Database Developer will work in an Agile/SCRUM model and should have experience with performance tuning and optimization, as well as familiarity with K-12 data warehousing and analytics. The candidate should be local to the San Antonio area or reside within the state of Texas, as in-office presence will be required as needed. A background check is also required for this position.
