About the position

The Database Developer role is focused on the development and optimization of SQL queries and SSIS packages within the Education sector. This position is remote and offers a short-term contract opportunity, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and enhance database performance.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend data requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for effective data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Assist in application development tasks, specifically those involving file manipulation.
• Customize and create SSRS reports to accommodate specific business needs, if required.
• Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning of database queries and SSIS packages.
• Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary action.
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain precise customer credit records.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Database and Database Object management
• Experience with EO/IR systems is required
• Familiarity with Erwin Data modeling tools
• Proficiency in using Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with AB Testing methodologies
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and best practices
• Strong Design skills, particularly in relation to database design
• Experience with ETL - Extract Transform Load processes
• Ability to work with Flat File database systems
