About the position

The Database Developer role focuses on developing and managing database systems, specifically utilizing Snowflake and Oracle technologies. The position requires extensive experience in database development, SQL, and PL/SQL, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning and data warehousing. The developer will be responsible for creating and optimizing database objects and ensuring efficient data processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage database systems using Snowflake and Oracle.
• Create and optimize database objects such as tables, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and functions.
• Utilize Oracle performance tuning concepts and tools like EXPLAIN PLAN.
• Implement data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Load files using Oracle SQL Loader and external file utilities.
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems and enhance database performance.

Requirements

• XX+ years of database development experience.
• Minimum X+ years of relevant experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong experience in creating database objects like tables, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Expertise in Oracle performance tuning and using EXPLAIN PLAN.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Experience with RDBMS, specifically Oracle.
• Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data platform and utilities like SnowSQL and SnowPipe.

Nice-to-haves

• Investment management experience.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
