About the position

The Database Developer is a key member of the I.T. organization at Flexjet, responsible for the development, administration, and operational support of all databases. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database systems while ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of the data infrastructure that supports multiple private jet brands.

Responsibilities

• Plan, test, and implement safe modifications of multiple database environments during software upgrade cycles.
• Create, deploy, and modify SQL queries.
• Implement performance improvements and DDL modifications on SQL queries.
• Develop efficient, smart, and impactful SQL code.
• Monitor the performance, scalability, and security of SQL Server instances.
• Learn about the private jet/fractional jet industry and develop SQL solutions to enhance operations and owner services teams.

Requirements

• Experience in database development, design, and performance tuning with SQL Server in an online service environment.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2019-2022 and SQL Always On Availability Groups.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server security, performance monitoring, optimization techniques, indexes, constraints, transactions, stored procedures, triggers, cursors, locking, and query tuning.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Self-motivated and independent with exceptional relationship management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PowerShell development and automation experience.
• Prior experience in travel or aviation.
• Experience with geolocation data and services.
