About the position

The Database Developer at Phoenix Defense plays a crucial role in designing, updating, integrating, and testing databases to meet project requirements. The developer will work closely with engineering teams and participate in Agile development processes to enhance product quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform database design, update, integration, and testing to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with a small team of software professionals in an Agile development environment.
• Shape the design, processes, and tools used for projects, promoting entrepreneurship and innovative thinking.
• Participate in brainstorming and consensus-building activities to improve products and processes.
• Implement and monitor database architectures and provide system documentation.
• Support backups and restores of the database.
• Provide database monitoring and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, table DDL, constraints, and views.
• Manage Problem Ticket activity from planning to testing.
• Handle all forms of data manipulation, including migrating data into and out of the database.
• Work with the Atlassian tool set in an Agile Development Environment.
• Participate in government and industry teams to resolve data issues.
• Establish and support data management tools, plans, and processes.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to support software development and deployment.

Requirements

• Experience in database design and development.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
