CGI Federal is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our US Courts client. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing database solutions to ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance. The position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. In this role, you will be responsible for database design and development, which includes designing and implementing database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects. You will also develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Additionally, you will create and maintain documentation of database structures and processes to ensure clarity and consistency in database management. Data management and integration are key components of this position. You will ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all database systems while integrating data from various sources, including external databases and APIs. Implementing data migration and data warehousing solutions as needed will also be part of your responsibilities. Performance tuning and optimization are critical to maintaining the efficiency of our database systems. You will monitor and optimize database performance, including query performance tuning and index optimization. Troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues will be essential, along with providing recommendations for improvements. Collaboration and support are vital aspects of this role. You will work closely with data analysts, IT staff, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide effective database solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical support for database-related issues and assist with user training on database functionalities.
