About the position

The SQL Developer position at Fortune Society Inc. is a full-time role based in Long Island City, Queens, responsible for the maintenance and support of the agency's internal SQL Server databases. The individual in this role will be tasked with supporting the maintenance and development of SQL code, T-SQL procedures, Power BI reports, and Microsoft Reporting Services platform (SSRS) reports. This position requires a strong understanding of database management and the ability to analyze and develop SQL code to produce end-user reports that provide internal departments with accurate and timely information. In this role, the SQL Developer will collaborate with internal departments and users to identify their needs and resolve any database query and report issues. The developer will work closely with data and business analysts to define report specifications and address data analytics needs. The position demands excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate potential issues while exercising sound judgment. The SQL Developer will also be expected to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating with team members to support projects and suggesting alternative solutions when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of three years of experience in MS SQL Server development (T-SQL). Experience in designing and deploying reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Power BI is essential. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines are also crucial for success in this role. Prior experience in a non-profit organization and familiarity with healthcare EHR systems are considered a plus.

Requirements
