About The Position
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Database Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management and optimization of our database systems. The Database Developer will be responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development, which includes developing backend reports to support user needs, creating custom scripts to automate various database management processes, and monitoring and troubleshooting database performance. The successful candidate will also be tasked with developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development. Interfacing with customers, users, and developers as needed is a key part of this role, as is maintaining the database schema and design, as well as overseeing transition development activities. Additionally, the Database Developer will provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting data into the database from various sources, including file systems, and will perform necessary maintenance tasks to ensure optimal database performance.
