About the position

The Database Developer role at Akkodis involves hands-on application development throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). The position focuses on designing, building, testing, and deploying innovative data solutions to enhance forecasting processes and operational excellence. This hybrid position requires collaboration with technical leads and product owners to ensure data integrity and performance while utilizing various database technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with technical leads and Product Owners to design and implement innovative data solutions that improve forecasting processes and operational excellence.
  • Developing and maintaining applications to support current and target processes throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, build, test, and deployment.
  • Writing and optimizing Microsoft SQL queries and scripts to support reporting and data analysis, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Building and managing ad-hoc reports using tools such as CUBE, Snowflake, Tableau, and generic SQL.
  • Designing and implementing Graph databases using tools like Neo4J and Tiger Graph to enhance data accessibility and analysis.
  • Conducting deep data analysis to identify gaps, patterns, and behaviors to support enhancements and address user requests.
  • Debugging complex SQL code to generate reports and identify data gaps, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and align database solutions accordingly.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to development teams during database changes and implementations.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to traditional databases and big data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SQL programming and database development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL tools such as SSMS, SSRS, and SSAS, along with experience in CUBE (Star Schema) and Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with Graph database technologies like Neo4J or Tiger Graph, and experience in working with large data sets (~100 million records).
