A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Database Developer to join their SQL development team. This is a hybrid role with Tuesdays and Thursdays on-site, along with a third day of your choice. The Database Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale SQL Server database structures, ensuring the integrity and performance of the databases. The role requires proficiency in T-SQL code, including the development and maintenance of stored procedures and functions, as well as conducting code reviews to ensure best practices are followed. In addition to database development, the Database Developer will work on Business Intelligence projects using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). This includes the deployment of SSIS projects and the creation of reports that provide valuable insights to the organization. The developer will also be tasked with creating and maintaining production troubleshooting scripts to assist other internal groups, as well as developing automation and deployment tools for the Operational DBAs, with a preference for PowerShell. The role also involves serving as a technical and research resource for the Operational DBAs, creating and maintaining database servers within the development environment, and managing code and database objects using a source control tool such as TFS. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in SQL development and a passion for database management and optimization.
