About the position

As an ETL Developer at Remington Hotels, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless flow of data in and out of databases, utilizing a combination of ETL tools such as Talend, SQL Server, Java, APIs, and Web Services. The focus will be on optimizing performance, ensuring reliability and durability, maintaining high data quality, and adhering to security protocols while meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations. This position requires a strong understanding of data management principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality data solutions. In this role, you will be expected to design, implement, and monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing data workflows. You will also be responsible for documenting processes and ensuring compliance with data governance policies. The ideal candidate will have a background in data management or information systems, with a strong emphasis on practical experience in ETL development. This position offers the flexibility of working from home, but candidates must reside within commuting distance of the Dallas, TX office to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines using Talend, SQL Server, Java, APIs, and Web Services.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance of ETL processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows to resolve issues promptly.
  • Document ETL processes and maintain compliance with data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ETL development and data management.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools, particularly Talend, and SQL Server.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and experience with APIs and Web Services.
