The Database Integrations Engineer at Patterson Companies will leverage their technical expertise to manage and optimize database systems, focusing on ETL processes and integration strategies. This role involves collaborating on AI and machine learning initiatives to enhance data workflows, ensuring efficient data movement and system performance.

  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move and integrate data efficiently.
  • Design, implement, and manage integrations between various databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Address challenges and develop scalable solutions across various system layers.
  • Design and build middleware solutions that extend beyond traditional ETL operations.
  • Understand the impact of architectural choices, such as on-premise vs. cloud-based systems, and articulate how these affect integration strategies.
  • Collaborate on strategies to incorporate AI and machine learning into data workflows.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or area of functional responsibility preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in various platforms and programming languages.
  • Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, and web services integration.
  • Proficient in SQL and database management systems.
  • Experience with database and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of application development and project life cycles, including Agile applications.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in object-oriented programming and design.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their application in data processing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
