We are currently seeking a Database Management Analyst III to support a contract with the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, located in Norfolk, VA. This position is on-site in Chesapeake, Virginia. The contract with NIWC LANT involves Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provide near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and offer three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet, including Ashore and Afloat systems. The role includes responsibilities such as automated software testing, serving as a Scrum Master, operating in the AWS Cloud, and managing JIRA/JAMA/Confluence, along with providing project support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA.
  • Provide Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support.
  • Manage and maintain databases within an application area.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Coordinate computer database changes and ensure proper functioning of database systems.
  • Design and maintain AWS database solutions.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) solutions.
  • Conduct automated software testing and serve as a Scrum Master.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience with a Master's degree or fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor's degree in administering, testing, and implementing computer databases.
  • Experience in coordinating computer database changes and implementing security measures.
  • Three (3) years' experience designing and maintaining AWS database solutions.
  • Two (2) years' experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) solutions.
  • Secret Security Clearance required.
