About the position

The Database Management Developer at Leidos will support the electronic management of Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) compliance data for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions, migrating databases from Microsoft Access to PostgreSQL, and developing front-end applications using Microsoft Power Platform. The position is primarily focused on front-end development and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective database management and user support.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex Power Apps for mobile and browser use integrating with PostgreSQL, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online.
• Design Power Apps for a range of end-users.
• Develop complex Power Automate flows integrating with PostgreSQL, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
• Create integrated solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Ensure EOSH Database Management products can interface with other FAA databases/systems.
• Facilitate testing of products and databases, ensuring data security and administration of the Database Management System.
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging during the creation and maintenance of EOSH Database-managed products.
• Provide updates and modifications to Database Management Systems based on user feedback.
• Train FAA employees who will function as Administrators and provide end-user support to Power Platform users.
• Present the Database Management System and applications to FAA senior management and support contractors.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform development with a strong understanding of backend data sources, particularly SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Experience in relational database management within a multi-tiered environment.
• Hands-on experience in backend and frontend design and development.
• Proficient with Power Apps and Power Automate, with the ability to integrate them using various data sources.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in a database developer role, or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with an understanding of complex technical data sets.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Customer-service oriented.

Nice-to-haves

• Dashboard development experience in Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Experience in SharePoint design, development, and administration.
• Hands-on involvement in all phases of the development process, including requirements gathering, application design, integration, and maintenance.
