About the position

The Database Management Developer at Leidos will support the electronic management of Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) compliance data for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions, migrating databases from Microsoft Access to PostgreSQL, and developing front-end applications using Microsoft Power Platform. The position is fully remote but prefers candidates located in specific areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex Power Apps for mobile and browser use integrating with PostgreSQL, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online.
  • Design Power Apps for a range of end-users.
  • Develop complex Power Automate flows integrating with PostgreSQL, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
  • Create integrated solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Ensure EOSH Database Management products can interface with other FAA systems.
  • Facilitate testing of products and databases, ensuring data security and administration.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues during the creation and maintenance of EOSH Database-managed products.
  • Provide updates and modifications to Database Management Systems based on user feedback.
  • Train FAA employees who will function as Administrators and provide end-user support.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform development with a strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with backend and frontend design and development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with a minimum of 4+ years in a database developer role.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dashboard development experience in Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Experience with SharePoint design, development, and administration.
  • Hands-on involvement in all phases of the development process, including requirements gathering and application design.
