About the position

The Database Management / MS Power Platform Developer at Leidos is responsible for providing database management and front-end application development support for the electronic management of Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) compliance data for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining databases and client-facing software applications, migrating existing databases, and providing training and support to users. The developer will primarily focus on front-end development using Microsoft Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex Power Apps for mobile and browser use integrating with PostgreSQL, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online.
  • Design Power Apps for a range of end-users.
  • Develop complex Power Automate flows integrating with PostgreSQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, etc.
  • Create integrated solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Ensure EOSH Database Management products can interface with other FAA databases/systems.
  • Facilitate testing of products and databases managed by the EOSH Database Management team.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and debugging issues during the creation and maintenance of EOSH Database-managed products.
  • Provide updates and modifications to Database Management Systems based on user feedback.
  • Train FAA employees who will function as Administrators.
  • Provide training and end-user support to Power Platform users.
  • Present Database Management System and applications to FAA senior management and support contractors.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform development with a strong understanding of backend data sources, particularly SQL (PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with relational databases in a multi-tiered environment.
  • Proficient with Power Apps and Power Automate, including integration with various data sources.
  • Experience with API custom connectors and on-premise gateways.
  • Experience in SharePoint administration and/or development.
  • Solid experience in Power Apps security, including role-based authorization and MS EntraID security groups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with a minimum of 4+ years in a database developer role and 4+ years in client-focused application development using Power Platform.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dashboard development experience in Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Experience in SharePoint design, development, and administration.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Microsoft PL-400 or PL-600 Certification.
