About the position

The Database Manager at Navarro Research & Engineering is responsible for managing records and data related to environmental remediation services at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. This role involves organizing, maintaining, and preserving documents, as well as providing support for various legal and regulatory requirements. The position requires collaboration with team members and effective communication to ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering quality service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide records management, including adding data and reports to the Digital Document Management System (DDMS).
  • Identify, gather, organize, and maintain documents and other pertinent information.
  • Organize, maintain, and dispose of records as necessary.
  • Provide for long-term access and preservation of records.
  • Maintain electronic repository of administrative record documents, remediation/site files, and other site data collection.
  • Process all site record correspondence.
  • Coordinate and track receipt/transmittal of incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintain files of original correspondence.
  • Locate, compile, and review documents in support of litigation requests.
  • Provide support for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, including retrieval of records and preparation of correspondence.
  • Coordinate courier services as required.
  • Provide training in using DDMS to applicable Army and/or Contractor personnel.
  • Manage and update the RMA Environmental Database.
  • Provide technical and administrative assistance for general litigation support services.
  • Review relevant documents; organize documents; propose and develop screening criteria, key word indices, and coding strategies.
  • Maintain information management system(s) for organizing and controlling document files.
  • Provide for database use; provide user assistance; conduct database searching and retrieval; generate reports.
  • Reorganize document packages in response to various internal and external requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to complete work safely and comply with all aspects of site health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work and achieve results in a collaborative team environment and focus strongly on customer service.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible with changes that arise.
  • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
