About the position

The Database Manager and Department Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the database and administrative functions of the department. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of gift processing, database entries, maintenance, list management, analysis, reporting, and data cleaning. The Database Manager will also troubleshoot issues and respond to requests for information, ensuring the smooth operation of the department's data management and administrative needs. In this role, the Database Manager will collaborate closely with staff members to execute various tasks, including the financial and data management functions of the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database. This includes processing gifts, managing bank deposits, and manipulating data in Microsoft Excel. The Database Manager will also be responsible for creating and cleaning lists, assisting in list assemblies, coding campaigns, and analyzing data related to fundraising campaigns and events. Additionally, the role involves assembling mailings and performing other office-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all gift processing and database entries.
  • Maintain and manage the database, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform list management and data analysis for fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Create and clean lists for various departmental needs.
  • Assist in the coding of campaigns and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database for gift processing and data management.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot database issues and respond to information requests.
  • Experience in list management and campaign coding.
