About the position

The Database Manager & Development Research (DMDR) at New Roads School is responsible for managing the fundraising database and supporting the Development Office's efforts through prospect research and data management. This role is integral to the school's advancement initiatives, requiring a strong understanding of the school's mission and its constituents. The DMDR will ensure data integrity, manage user training, and coordinate with other departments to enhance fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of the fundraising database including user training and database performance.
• Oversee all data entry including donor notes, gift processing, and record updates.
• Design and implement strategies to ensure the quality and integrity of the data.
• Develop and execute database strategies and reporting requirements for departmental personnel.
• Coordinate and execute prospect research.
• Manage all department mailings, statistics, and distribution lists.
• Provide general office management services as required.
• Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.

Requirements

• At least three to five years of professional work experience in data management.
• Proficiency in the management of the Raisers Edge database is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in job-related computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
• Ability to perform complex mail merges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse constituencies.
