About the position

The Database Manager for the Ryan White/HIV Services Program (RWSP) is responsible for overseeing the CAREWare information system, assisting in grant writing and reporting, and ensuring data quality and compliance with HRSA standards. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, supervision of sub-recipients, and providing programmatic and fiscal data analysis to support the RWSP's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in writing/editing the Ryan White Part A/MAI Grant and related documents.
  • Oversee and administer the RWSP CAREWare information system.
  • Coordinate with the Indiana Department of Health on the statewide CAREWare HIV Program implementation.
  • Supervise RWSP sub-recipients and associated IT staff regarding CAREWare user agreements and data management.
  • Provide programmatic/data assistance to the Director and RWSP program areas.
  • Lead coordination with IDOH on ongoing planning and problem-solving of the statewide CAREWare.
  • Participate in the annual review of sub-recipient grant applications and funding decisions.
  • Manage the RWSP CAREWare portion of the annual HRSA Ryan White Services Report (RSR) process.
  • Plan and track quality control processes for CAREWare data consistency with HRSA requirements.
  • Evaluate program needs and resources for data management-related purchases.

Requirements

  • Master's in Public Health or Public Administration with a focus on health administration, or five years of related experience.
  • Two to three years of experience overseeing public health and computer database information technology in a PC Windows environment.
  • History of providing supervision on programmatic oversight and data collection.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in working with grants and grant writing.
  • Knowledge of database administration and management in a health environment.
