About the position

The Database Manager Specialist at Tree Services Unlimited (TSU) is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the database systems, with a specific focus on One VM Power BI. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure the accurate tracking and completion of tree-related service appointments, work requests, and any constraints that may arise. The Database Manager will work closely with the management team and General Foremen to maintain organized records, resolve discrepancies, and compile weekly production numbers for tree crews. In this role, the Database Manager will monitor One VM Power BI for various statuses of work, including Inspected/Prescribed, Approved, Scheduled, Completed, and Constrained work. Regular reporting to management on a weekly basis is essential, as is the creation of service appointments in One VM for tree crews. The manager will track these appointments to ensure that work is completed, appointments are closed, and data is synced accurately. Additionally, the Database Manager will be responsible for receiving all paperwork from tree crews, ensuring that all documents are accounted for, and following up with the General Foreman for any missing items. This includes verifying that completed work requests are signed, dated, and that notes are routed appropriately. The role also involves auditing work requests against Daily Foreman Reports to resolve any discrepancies and scanning work into shared folders. For legacy work, the manager will print and route various work requests/orders as needed, manage unit trackers, and ensure timely completion of all tasks. The position demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team and with upper management. The Database Manager will also need to be willing to work extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines, ensuring that all priority work is handled efficiently and effectively.
