The part-time Database Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the Bloomerang database, which is essential for accurate donation recording and effective data management. This position is designed for an entry-to-mid-level professional who is eager to contribute to the organization's mission while gaining valuable experience in the development and non-profit sector. The Database Manager will ensure the integrity of the database, generate reports, and prepare donor communications, all of which support strategic decision-making and fundraising efforts. In this role, the Database Manager will be responsible for independently carrying out assigned tasks, demonstrating excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. The individual will need to prioritize their workload effectively and respond appropriately to changes in a dynamic environment. Interacting respectfully and supportively with donors, staff, board members, and other stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to be flexible and manage change effectively. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and communication, ensuring that all interactions reflect the organization's values and mission. The Database Manager will also be expected to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, contributing to a collaborative and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the Bloomerang database
  • Ensure accurate donation recording
  • Generate reports

  • Independently carry out assigned tasks, demonstrating good time management and personal motivation
  • Prioritize workload and respond appropriately to change

Requirements

  • 2 years of database management experience (MS Access, Salesforce, Blackbaud, etc.)
  • Communicate verbally and in writing using the English language
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Pass a background check
  • Comfortable with having a working relationship with the land and people of Israel

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • Proficient in donor databases (experience with Bloomerang a plus)
