About the position

The Database Manager at the Israel Tennis and Education Centers Foundation (ITECF) is responsible for managing the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data integrity, and supporting fundraising efforts. This role is pivotal in optimizing database capabilities and implementing best practices to enhance donor advancement, ultimately contributing to the organization's fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of donor records.
  • Process donations, pledges, gifts, and donor information precisely, ensuring timely and accurate entry.
  • Develop and manage donor segmentation strategies for targeted communication and campaign execution.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on donations, trends, donor retention, and campaign effectiveness to support development and board reporting.
  • Regularly audit and clean the database to maintain accurate records and remove duplicates or outdated information.
  • Oversee the timely acknowledgment of all gifts and donations, including generating receipts and thank-you letters.
  • Collaborate with ITECF teams to provide database insights for fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special events.
  • Train staff on best practices for Raiser's Edge use and data entry.
  • Assist in developing donor stewardship strategies using database insights and tracking donor engagement.
  • Work with other departments to ensure seamless database integration with other software tools ITEC uses.
  • Ensure data security measures and compliance with all data protection laws and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Liaise with Blackbaud (or other relevant vendors) and external consultants for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with donor databases, ideally Raiser's Edge.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, showing strong initiative to reach individual goals while supporting overall team goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, board members, volunteers, and third-party representatives.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-focused nonprofit environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
