About the position

The Database Manager at Hepburn and Sons LLC will oversee the design and development of Navy Data Environment (NDE) modules, ensuring compliance with modernization policies and enhancing user experience. This role involves managing software updates, writing code for data queries, and supporting the integration of various technologies. The position is contingent upon funding and requires a commitment to integrity and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and development of Navy Data Environment (NDE) modules at customer direction
• Update software as needed to improve user experience and adhere to policy compliance
• Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries and maintain data correction logs
• Expand and update data dictionaries for the database and related applications
• Support implementation of technology to support implementation and integration of Microsoft ASP.NET using C#, SharePoint, Delphi, Oracle and Java
• Support Enterprise Change Management/Virtual Configuration Control Board (ECM/VCCB) and customer provided tools to track development and deployment of changes through AutoSIRs and Releases
• Support strategizing of implementation alternatives to meet the defined functional requirements

Requirements

• 5 or more years experience in database administration
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with other shipboard programs interfaces (e.g. organizational maintenance management system, next generation-OMMS-NG)
• Familiarity with software development concepts, practices, and procedures
• Expertise with database management, configuration and documentation related to complex software applications
• Familiarization using C#, Oracle, SharePoint, and Java
• Active Secret clearance
