About the position

The Database Manager will oversee the organization's database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design and implement database structures that support business requirements.
• Conduct performance tuning to optimize database efficiency.
• Develop and execute scripts for automation of routine tasks using Shell Scripting.
• Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with development teams to support database-related needs in applications.
• Utilize SSIS for data integration and transformation processes.
• Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in database administration, specifically with MySQL.
• Strong skills in scripting languages, particularly Shell Scripting.
• Experience with performance tuning techniques for databases.
• Familiarity with high availability solutions for critical systems.
• Knowledge of database design principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
