About the position

The AOC Database Manager at Goldbelt, Inc. plays a crucial role in providing operational subject matter expertise for the management of the Air Order of Battle Database (AOBD) and Tactical Information (TACINFO). This position is essential for supporting AOC Combat Plans, Operations, and ISR Divisions, ensuring that the database management aligns with the operational needs of both AOC and deployed Coalition Air Operations Center (CAOC) personnel. The Database Manager will be responsible for overseeing the requirements analysis and operational support necessary for effective database management in a high-stakes environment. In this role, the Database Manager will manage AOC database requirements, ensuring that applications supporting AOC planning and offensive execution functions are effectively integrated with intelligence functions, particularly in target planning. The position requires coordination of AF/Joint/Allied/Coalition friendly order of battle inputs to maintain established standards. The Database Manager will also facilitate data exchange between services through applications or established Interface Control Document (ICD) standards, develop functional checklists to assist operators, and identify future AOC Weapon System requirements. Additionally, the Database Manager will participate in operational planning, fielding verification, and validation of AOC upgrades and modifications. Mentorship of newly assigned AOC personnel regarding the management and access of AOC database information is also a key responsibility. Collaboration with local AOC Training Managers is necessary to ensure that training requirements reflect accurate AOC database management functions and support responsibilities. The role may require travel in support of operations, including war, contingency, and humanitarian operations, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational management of AOC database requirements applicable to applications supporting AOC planning and offensive execution functions.
  • Manage AOBD and TACINFO standards; coordinate AF/Joint/Allied/Coalition friendly order of battle inputs to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Facilitate other service C2 data exchange via applications or established Interface Control Document (ICD) standards.
  • Develop functional checklists to assist operators with managing and using AOC database capabilities.
  • Identify and define future AOC Weapon System requirements.
  • Participate in operational planning, fielding verification, and validation of AOC upgrades and modifications.
  • Participate in DT&E and OT&E as Database Manager.
  • Provide mentorship to newly assigned AOC personnel regarding the management and access of AOC database information.
  • Collaborate with local AOC Training Managers to ensure MQT and Combat Mission Readiness (CMR) requirements are accurate.
  • Provide specialized training on Combat Plans and Operations applications as required.
  • Travel in support of operations, exercises, and experiments that may require CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with AOC combat plans, combat operations applications, and the management of AOBD and TACINFO.
  • Completion of formal AOC FTU Course or equivalent.
  • Participation in AOC exercises or operations as a Database Manager for Combat Plans or Operations Division.
  • Real-world contingency experience is highly desired.
  • Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS.
  • Must have active Top-Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI within six months of hire.
