About the position

The Database Manager will leverage Microsoft Access expertise to support customized databases for a unique customer mission. The role involves managing all aspects of these databases, including development, maintenance, reporting, and enhancements, while also facilitating data migration and ensuring the databases meet future mission needs utilizing cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support 3 customized Microsoft Access databases, managing their development and maintenance.
• Gather requirements and document product specifications for database enhancements.
• Develop data frameworks for data analysis to support end-user data discovery.
• Design and develop data models to optimize analytical reporting performance.
• Build reports, dashboards, and OLAP databases for end-user reporting needs.
• Perform statistical analyses and predictive forecasting on data sets.
• Attend daily standup meetings with customer leadership to provide status updates.
• Document tools and processes supporting database operations.
• Troubleshoot performance and operational issues with databases.
• Provide weekly and monthly updates on deliverables and performance.

Requirements

• Experience in identifying, collecting, and documenting product requirements.
• Expertise in MS Access database creation, maintenance, and operation.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as MS Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with Microsoft365 applications.
• Expertise in database management systems (DBMS).
• Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
• TS/SCI CI Poly clearance is required.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS/C2S cloud development experience.
• AWS Developer Certification and/or AWS DevOps Certification.
