About the position

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is seeking a Database Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Database and Digital Marketing, this full-time position is essential for providing technical support in the collection, aggregation, and presentation of metrics related to member and visitor communications. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that our marketing efforts are data-driven and effective, contributing to the overall success of our outreach initiatives. In this role, the Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues to compile communication wrap-up reports, focusing particularly on member and visitor communications. This includes overseeing the production and distribution of campaign performance reports, which are vital for understanding the impact of our marketing strategies. The Coordinator will also be responsible for building and generating lists based on specific selection criteria, exporting list data, and manipulating this data for reporting purposes. The position requires the aggregation of performance metrics from various sources, including WordFly, Tessitura Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and Tableau. The Coordinator will identify test opportunities based on previous results of communication efforts and will be responsible for building and deploying member and visitor questionnaires and surveys, both online and onsite. Additionally, the Coordinator will maintain ongoing basic database hygiene, which includes creating and editing constituent record data such as salutations, addresses, attributes, and communication preferences. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to compile communication wrap-up reports focused on member and visitor communications.
  • Oversee production and distribution of campaign performance reports.
  • Build and generate lists based on selection criteria and manipulate list data for reporting purposes.
  • Aggregate performance metrics from multiple sources such as WordFly, Tessitura Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and Tableau.
  • Identify test opportunities based on previous results of communication efforts.
  • Build and deploy member and visitor questionnaires/surveys online and/or onsite.
  • Responsible for ongoing basic database hygiene, including creating and editing constituent record data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in summarizing and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Tessitura or similar database systems.
  • Ability to navigate and understand Tessitura campaign, appeal, and source structures.
  • Basic understanding of audience segmentation and Tessitura list manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • An affinity for and interest in the arts and museums.
