About the position

The Database Migration Analyst 2 will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex data migration tasks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This role involves developing and executing data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation processes, to ensure high data quality. The analyst will work on migrating DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment, creating complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for the ETL process, and collaborating with Application Development SMEs to optimize the ETL process. Documentation and status updates will be maintained on a SharePoint site.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data migration tasks ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop and execute data migration strategies including data cleansing.
  • Create complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with Application Development SMEs to ensure proper data mapping.
  • Maintain documentation and status updates on a SharePoint site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND four years of related experience, or a Master's degree, or two years of experience at the lower-level Database Migration Analyst position equivalent.
  • Five years' experience with data migration processes.
  • Five years' experience with SQL and creating stored procedures.
  • Three years' experience with a relational database, such as DB2 or SQL Server.
  • One year's experience with PostgreSQL.
  • One year's experience with DBeaver Tool or IBM Data Studio.
  • One year's experience with Erwin Data Modeling Tool.
  • One year's experience with Microsoft Windows Server.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DB2-LUW export utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and Tax.
  • Strong knowledge of data mapping processes and best practices.
