About the position

The Database Migration Analyst 2 will be responsible for analyzing and executing the migration of DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the migration process. The analyst will develop and implement data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation, while collaborating with Application Development SMEs to optimize the ETL process. Documentation and status updates will be maintained on a SharePoint site.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis to migrate DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment.
• Plan, execute, and validate data migration processes to ensure data integrity.
• Develop and execute data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation processes.
• Create complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for the ETL process.
• Work with Application Development SMEs to ensure proper data mapping and optimization of the ETL process.
• Maintain documentation and status updates on a SharePoint site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND four years of related experience, or a Master's degree, or two years of experience at the lower-level Database Migration Analyst position equivalent.
• Five years' experience with data migration processes.
• Five years' experience with SQL and creating stored procedures.
• Three years' experience with a relational database, such as DB2 or SQL Server.
• One year's experience with PostgreSQL.
• One year's experience with DBeaver Tool or IBM Data Studio.
• One year's experience with Erwin Data Modeling Tool.
• One year's experience with Microsoft Windows Server.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DB2-LUW export utilities.
• Strong knowledge of Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and Tax.
• Strong knowledge of data mapping process and best practices.
