About the position

The Database Migration Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and executing the migration of DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the migration process, requiring a strong background in data migration strategies and SQL scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation processes to ensure data quality
• Create complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for ETL process
• Work with Application Development SMEs to ensure data is mapped properly and ensure the ETL process is optimized
• Maintain documentation and status on a SharePoint site

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience
• OR Master's degree
• OR Two years of experience at the lower-level Database Migration Analyst position equivalent
• Experience with data migration processes (5 Years)
• Experience with SQL and creating Stored Procedures (5 Years)
• Experience with a relational database, such as DB2, SQL Server (3 Years)
• Experience with PostgreSQL (1 Year)
• Experience with DBeaver Tool or IBM Data Studio (1 Year)
• Experience with Erwin Data Modeling Tool (1 Year)
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (1 Year)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DB2-LUW export utilities
• Strong knowledge of Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and Tax
• Strong knowledge of data mapping process and best practices
