About the position

This position is a hands-on role focused on managing day-to-day operations of a team responsible for Oracle Database administration. The successful applicant will assist with time-sensitive project issues and customer escalations, aiming to improve service quality through automation and education. The role requires excellent organizational skills to handle multiple concurrent projects and respond to customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team maintaining and/or implementing software projects and internal systems.
  • Define, document, and manage scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables, and acceptance testing criteria.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive leadership of Oracle Database administration teams
  • 8+ years of experience as Oracle DBA
  • Bachelor's degree/master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Software, or Computer System Engineering
  • Experience managing production databases running on LINUX flavors
  • Understanding of production operations and best practices for change management and escalation procedures
  • Knowledge of end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of Oracle database systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS)
  • Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Management (Partitioning, Compression)
  • Experience with Oracle Goldengate, Dataguard, and Maximum Availability Architecture best practices.
