The DATABASE PROGRAMMER ANALYST II is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database applications within an Oracle 19c environment. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of the database systems that support various applications. As a federal contractor, the company adheres to strict regulations, including maintaining a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Federal Controlled Substance Act. The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant IT experience and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. In this role, the analyst will implement and administer the physical Oracle database architecture, focusing on aspects such as availability, server-side accessibility, recoverability, reliability, security, and performance. The analyst will also design, develop, and maintain processes for complex data transformations and loads into a data warehouse. Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, Java scripting, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, TOAD, and UNIX shell scripting is essential. The analyst will create and maintain the logical and physical data models, troubleshoot daily program issues, and assist users in accessing and manipulating data. The position requires working in an agile development environment, providing troubleshooting and debugging assistance, and adhering to product and process compliance. The analyst is expected to take responsibility for their own self-development by engaging in available training opportunities. Daily activities should be planned in accordance with company policies and supervisor instructions to maximize personal output.
