About the position

The Database Programmer Analyst will be a key member of the Enterprise Service Management development and administration team at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This remote position focuses on developing new features for campus IT groups and departments utilizing the University's Enterprise Service Management solution. Responsibilities include application development, troubleshooting, system maintenance, performance monitoring, and participation in an on-call rotation. The role requires collaboration with team members and other departments, utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver solutions efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features for the Enterprise Service Management solution.
  • Administer and troubleshoot the TeamDynamix Client Portal, Ticketing, and Asset applications.
  • Complete routine system maintenance and performance monitoring/analysis.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for system failures and deadlines.
  • Work closely with campus IT groups to identify requirements and prepare solution proposals.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and participate in knowledge transfer.
  • Develop end-user documentation.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, and database management.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and code versioning repositories.
  • 3+ years of development experience and 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Familiarity with server-side frameworks such as Microsoft .NET Core, C#, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Microsoft Analysis Services, PowerBI, Python, and R.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management or Enterprise Service Management solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts and database design techniques.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services.
