About the position

As part of the Clinical Data Science (CDS) group within the Global Biometrics and Data Management (GBDM) organization, the Database Analyst is responsible for programming high-quality clinical databases. This role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of clinical databases, ensuring data integrity and adherence to standards for consistency in clinical data submissions. The position plays a crucial role in processing and reviewing clinical data, contributing to project milestones, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain clinical databases ensuring data integrity.
  • Process, review, and receive clinical data from therapeutic groups and investigators.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent data delivery to clinical teams.
  • Contribute to data management plans including data preparation and validation activities.
  • Participate in Data Monitoring and Management (DMM) activities including data review and query management.
  • Ensure quality database design including documentation, testing, validation, and implementation of data collection tools.
  • Investigate logic check flags and resolve discrepancies with study teams.
  • Identify and investigate potential discrepancies in clinical data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional study team members to create data capture solutions.
  • Learn and develop knowledge of Pfizer database technologies and data capture tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of ICH/GCP documentation requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic documentation management systems.
  • Awareness of the clinical development process and Good Clinical Practice principles.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant data standards.
  • Consistent, detail-oriented, and dedicated to excellence.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
