As a Database Query Developer at V2X, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing SQL Server database environments, particularly focusing on the Maximo database setup. Your responsibilities will include installing and configuring database environments to ensure they align with best practices for performance and security. You will monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement changes to enhance speed and efficiency, which may involve indexing strategies and query optimization. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing robust backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability, managing user roles and permissions, and protecting against unauthorized access through data encryption. Your role will also involve conducting regular database maintenance tasks, such as updating statistics, rebuilding indexes, and applying patches or updates to the SQL Server and Maximo systems. You will troubleshoot problems as they arise, providing technical support to users and other IT staff.
