About the position

The Database Research Analyst at Morehead State University plays a crucial role in the Office of Planning, Performance & Effectiveness. This full-time position involves utilizing data preparation and query applications to extract, compile, analyze, interpret, and communicate complex data-related issues to various audiences. The analyst will maintain and enhance administrative support software and produce detailed statistical and database reports for internal and external agencies, collaborating with stakeholders to meet their data and technical needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data preparation and query applications to extract, compile, analyze, interpret, and communicate complex data-related issues.
• Perform querying, data extraction, analysis, and reporting on assigned data topics.
• Maintain, create, and enhance administrative support software.
• Complete confidential detailed statistical and database reports for both internal and external agencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on data and technical needs.
• Write and maintain technical and user documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in Ellucian Colleague, SPSS, Tableau, Survey/Course Evaluation Applications (Qualtrics, SmartEvals, etc.), or Microsoft Office Suite/Microsoft Office 365.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with analyzing and compiling data.
