About the position

The Database Specialist is responsible for managing and processing donations within a donor database for a non-profit organization. This role involves ensuring accurate data entry, maintaining donor records, and generating necessary documentation to support fundraising efforts. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and manage gifts in the donor database, including various donation types and payments.
• Set up new gift batches and process donations within 24-48 hours, ensuring proper coding.
• Create tribute accounts and manage matching gift donations.
• Generate tax receipts for all donors promptly.
• Maintain and update constituent records based on new information.
• Create mailing lists for appeals, events, and newsletters.
• Conduct regular CRM maintenance to ensure data integrity.
• Respond to donor inquiries via phone and email.
• Perform additional data entry and projects as needed.
• Run queries and reports to support various departments.
• Organize donor lists for events and manage CRM automation.

Requirements

• 2+ years in gift processing and CRM management
• Previous experience in a Non-Profit is required
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and clerical accuracy
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Enthusiastic about technology and continuous learning.
